# Overview

Offer tags are short labels you assign to individual offers from the Partner Dashboard. Tags let you categorize offers and directly influence how they are sequenced and delivered on MomentPerks and Perkswall.

When sequence rules on your account use tag-based filters, MomentScience checks the tags on each offer to determine eligibility and position in the Moments response. Adding or removing tags from an offer immediately changes how that offer qualifies under those rules.

Offer tags work alongside [Sequence Rules](docId\:vUwxAFh3vYoAijB5IDtfD). If no sequence rules with tag-based filters are configured on your account, tags have no effect on offer delivery. Contact your account manager to set up tag-based sequencing rules.

# Managing Offer Tags

Access offer tags from the [Offers page](https://app.momentscience.com/account/campaigns) in your dashboard. Tags can be added to any Network or Direct offer.

## Finding the Tag Input

1. Log in to the [MomentScience dashboard](https://app.momentscience.com/home).
2. From the sidebar, click **Offers**.
3. Locate the offer you want to tag in the list.
4. Click the **⋮** (three-dot) menu on the offer row.
5. Select **Manage**, then choose **Tags**.

## Adding and Tags

1. Click inside the **Tags** field.
2. Type a tag name, then press **Enter** or type a comma to add it.
3. Repeat for each additional tag. An offer can carry multiple tags.

Tag names are case-sensitive. Use consistent naming. for example, all lowercase, so tags match the filters configured in your sequence rules exactly.

## Removing Tags

1. Open the **Tags** field by clicking the **⋮** menu on the offer row, then selecting **Manage > Tags**.
2. Click **×** on any tag to remove it from the offer.

## Saving Your Changes

Click **Save** after making tag changes. Tags are persisted immediately and remain visible when the page is reloaded.

Unsaved changes are discarded if you leave the offer page before clicking **Save**.

# How Tags Affect Offer Sequencing

Tags on an offer determine how that offer is evaluated when sequence rules with tag-based filters are active on your account.

**When a MomentPerks or Perkswall request is processed:**

- MomentScience resolves the active placement and applies its assigned sequence rules.
- If a rule filters by tag, only offers that carry a matching tag qualify for the positions that rule governs.
- An offer with no tags does not match any tag-based rule filter and is excluded from positions controlled by that filter.

Tags you add or remove in the Partner Dashboard take effect immediately, so changes to an offer's tags are reflected in delivery as soon as the offer is saved.
